As his world collapses, Donald Trump takes out his frustrations on Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner
Depending on which media narrative you’ve chosen to believe, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are in Donald Trump’s White House because they want to prevent him from acting on his most deranged ideas, or because they’re using him to further their own personal agendas, or they’re just sort of there for no reason. In any case, now that Trump’s world is collapsing in on him, leaks reveal that he’s taking out his frustrations on Ivanka and Jared in particular. This week Jared’s camp leaked to Vanity Fair that Donald Trump has repeatedly told Jared and Ivanka to resign from the White House and move back to New York. He keeps telling them that it’s the best thing for their own reputations, but there appears to be more to it. The New York Times is reporting that Donald is complaining about Ivanka to his aides after she interfered with his endorsement of Roy Moore (link). There’s also a strange new story about Rex Tillerson refusing to send anyone important to accompany Ivanka on her next overseas trip (link), a move he would not make without Donald’s approval. At the least, Donald Trump has placed Ivanka and Jared in the doghouse. However, additional media reports suggest that this feud runs much deeper. A pair of stories in the Washington Post and New York Times last night, both of which appeared to come from Jared’s camp, both insist that Jared’s White House role has been all but wiped out. Put this all together, and it sounds like Donald Trump is trying to force Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump out of his White House by any means possible, and Jared is trying to lay the groundwork for it being Donald’s fault when they do inevitably bail out. As has long been expected, the heightening Trump-Russia scandal is now tearing the Trump family apart. Michael Flynns plea deal against Donald Trump is underway. Heres how well know its official.
This week we learned that Michael Flynn has begun negotiating a plea deal against Donald Trump which will likely bring down the entire administration. A number of things still have to happen. Flynn has to lay out what he knows. Then his reduced punishment must be agreed upon. This could go quickly or it could take time. However, when the time comes, there is one telltale sign that will inform us that the deal is official.By all accounts, Michael Flynn is cutting the deal in order to get his son who calls himself “Michael Flynn Jr” despite having a different middle name off the hook for his own involvement in the scandal. Flynn’s son appears to be far from thrilled about this, as he posted derogatory tweets about Special Counsel Robert Mueller earlier this month, and he continues to retweet conspiratorial nonsense from the likes of Sean Hannity and the Pizzagate guy.Once Michael Flynn’s deal is officially in place, his son will have to become a cooperating witness in exchange for getting off the hook. By definition, Junior will have to stop tweeting about anything remotely related to the scandal. He won’t want to go along with it, but once it’s explained to him that his two options are to stop tweeting or go to prison, he’ll fall in line. There was some confusion earlier this month when a fake Michael Flynn Jr account on Twitter was shut down. Some mistakenly thought this meant that Junior had deleted his account. However, the real Michael Flynn Jr account is @mflynnjr and is still fully functional. If and when we see that the account in question has either vanished or ceased tweeting anything political, that’s when we’ll know that the deal between Michael Flynn and Robert Mueller has become official. Former CIA Director tells Donald Trump to go to hell
Donald Trump has managed to offend, outrage, and alienate just about everyone in the United States intelligence community who’s remotely competent. We’ve seen one prominent intel voice step forward after another to rip Trump over his cluelessness, his corruption, and his subservience to Russia. Now the former Director of the CIA is emphatically telling Trump off in no uncertain terms.General Michael Hayden is the former CIA Director and the former NSA Director. Despite having spent most of his career working to keep secrets, he’s now lambasting Trump for having attacked freedom of the press. Trump tweeted “Fox News is MUCH more important in the United States than CNN, but outside of the U.S., CNN International is still a major source of (Fake) news, and they represent our Nation to the WORLD very poorly. The outside world does not see the truth from them!” Let’s just say that Hayden was less than happy.Hayden responded to Trump’s berserk tweet with “If this is who we are or who we are becoming, I have wasted 40 years of my life. Until now it was not possible for me to conceive of an American President capable of such an outrageous assault on truth, a free press or the first amendment.” It’s worth noting that Hayden still has inside connections to the CIA, and he’s previously used them to try to expose Trump’s antics. For instance, after Donald Trump claimed two weeks ago that Russia didn’t meddle in the election and that the election and that the U.S. intel community was simply wrong, General Hayden fired back. He tweeted “CIA just told me: The Dir stands by and has always stood by the January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment entitled: Assessing Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent U.S. Elections. The intelligence assessment with regard to Russian election meddling has not changed.” So it’s not only the former CIA Director who thinks Trump is an idiot; the current CIA Director Mike Pompeo appears to feel the same way.
